This salad probably doesn't really need a recipe: you can pretty much decipher what it is comprised of from the pic. But just in case, here's what I did:
Fruity Dinner Side Salad with Maple Dressing
Serves 2
1 Tbsp. maple syrup
2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 handful spinach
1 handful mesculin mix
1 handful bluberries
1 nectarine, chopped
1 pear, chopped
walnuts
Mix maple syrup and balsamic in a small bowl.
Combine other ingredients in a large bowl. Toss with maple dressing. Enjoy!
Mmm, I love maple dressing. One of my favorite salads includes chicken and blue cheese in a maple dressing. (Maybe not a salad for a cleanse, exactly.) It also has candied walnuts. Granted, the dressing is already sweet, but I like that little bit of extra crunch that the sugar coating gives to walnuts (or pecans). And they tag-team so well with apples or pears!
ReplyDeleteSimple and fresh. I can make a meal of salads like this. Add a little grilled chicken or salmon and I'm there! Fantastic!
